Simple, honest limits
Fair Usage Policy
We don't charge per minute. We don't nickel-and-dime you for every call. Your subscription includes up to 200 calls per month — more than enough for the small businesses we serve.
Built for small businesses
SkipCalls is built for plumbers, electricians, salons, real estate agents, law offices, and every other small business that can't afford to miss a customer call. If you're a small business receiving genuine customer calls — you're good.
Appointment requests, quote inquiries, follow-ups, general questions — all the calls your business gets on a regular day. That's fair usage. Period.
Why calls, not minutes
Many AI receptionist services charge per minute or cap call duration at 10 minutes. We don't think that's fair to you. A real customer call takes as long as it takes — you shouldn't be penalized because a caller needed an extra few minutes to explain their problem.
We count calls, not minutes. A 2-minute call and a 15-minute call both count as one. This way you never have to worry about call length, and your AI receptionist can take the time it needs to actually help your customers.
Seasonal business? No problem
We know that business isn't evenly distributed across the year. HVAC companies get slammed in summer, tax preparers in April, florists around Valentine's Day. Having a busy month or two with higher call volume is completely normal — that's your business doing well, and we're not going to penalize you for it.
Spam calls? Not your fault
If your phone number is getting bombarded with robocalls, silent calls, or telemarketers offering credit cards for the 15th time today — that's not something we'll ever hold against you. You didn't ask for those calls, and we're not going to count them as if you did.
SkipCalls has built-in spam detection that handles most of this automatically. But even if some slip through, your fair usage isn't affected by calls you didn't want in the first place.
What if I go over 200 calls?
First — relax. We're not going to cut you off, throttle your service, or charge you surprise fees. Nothing bad happens automatically. Your next call will ring through exactly like the first one.
If your usage consistently exceeds 200 calls per month, we'll reach out to understand your needs — because every business is different and we'd rather understand yours before making any assumptions.
The likely outcome? We'll offer a custom plan at a fair price that matches your actual volume. For higher-volume businesses, we just want to make sure the plan fits — with transparent pricing you agree to upfront, never retroactive.
What does fair usage look like?
All of this is totally fine
Plumber getting 80 calls/month
Appointment requests, quotes, emergency calls. Totally normal small business volume.
Salon with seasonal spikes
Fewer calls in January, way more in December before the holidays. Seasonal fluctuations are expected and completely fine.
Real estate agent during hot market
Suddenly getting a lot more calls because listings are moving fast. That's your business growing — we're here for it.
Busy month that goes a bit over
Had a bigger month than usual? No penalty, no cutoff. We're not counting to the last digit.
Getting bombarded with spam calls
Robocalls, silent calls, telemarketers calling you 10-20 times a day — that's not your fault. Spam calls don't count against your fair usage.
What this policy is designed to prevent: commercial misuse like routing automated robocalls, running outbound telemarketing campaigns, or multiple separate companies sharing a single account to avoid paying for individual subscriptions. If you're a normal business getting normal calls, this doesn't apply to you.
Why we wrote this
Most "unlimited" products hide their limits in fine print. We'd rather tell you plainly: 200 calls per month is included in your $199/year plan. If you need more, we'll work something out together — with clear pricing you approve in advance.
We built SkipCalls with a founder-led approach — you'll always get direct, personal support. If something comes up, you'll hear from us directly.
