In pool service, the phone can make or break your week—especially during spring openings, heat waves, and “green pool before a party” emergencies. Use a simple standard: answer by the 3rd ring when you can. If you can’t answer safely (you’re adding acid, handling chlorine tabs, near the deep end, or your hands are wet), don’t rush it. Instead, set up a “2-minute rule”: if you miss the call, return it within 2 minutes when you’re in a dry, safe spot.
