Review & Referral Request Scripts for Dance Studios
Dance studios live and die by trust—parents want proof that your teachers are kind, organized, and worth the monthly tuition. Reviews and referrals also smooth out your busiest seasons (back-to-school, New Year, and recital crunch) when you’re teaching with loud music on and can’t answer every call.
Google Review Request (Right After a Great Class or First Private Lesson)
Use this as a quick text right after a student says they loved class or a parent thanks you after a first private lesson ($60–$150).
“Hi [Name]! It was so fun having [Student] in class today—love their energy and focus. If you have 30 seconds, would you leave us a quick Google review? Parents always ask about class vibe, teacher patience, and how we handle recital/competition season, so your note really helps. Here’s the link: [Google Review Link]. Thank you so much—see you next class!”
Tips for this scenario
- -Send it within 30 minutes of class while the excitement is still high.
- -Ask them to mention the exact program: “beginner ballet,” “hip hop drop-in,” “private lesson,” or “competition team.”
- -If it was a first class, prompt them to mention how easy check-in and placement felt.
