No-Show Follow-Up Templates for Chiropractors
No-shows hit chiropractors harder than most clinics because your day is blocked in tight adjustment slots, and you can’t safely jump to the phone mid-adjustment. These templates help you recover revenue from missed initial consults ($75–$200), adjustments ($50–$100), X-rays ($100–$300), and treatment packages ($500–$1,500) while keeping your tone calm, clinical, and firm.
Same-Day No-Show Call (Initial Consultation + Exam)
Use 5–15 minutes after they miss a new patient consult/exam slot.
“Hi [Name], this is [Your Name] from [Clinic]. You were scheduled for a new patient consultation and exam at [Time] today and I wanted to make sure you’re okay. If something flared up—like sharp low back pain, sciatica, or a neck spasm—we can still get you in today if you’re nearby. If today got away from you, that’s okay—would you like to reschedule for [Option A: today at __] or [Option B: tomorrow at __]? Also, for new patient visits we set aside extra time for your history, orthopedic tests, and a first adjustment if appropriate, so I want to protect that time for you.”
Tips for this scenario
- -Offer two specific times (not “when works?”) because pain patients will call another office if it feels slow.
- -Mention symptoms they actually use: “pinched nerve,” “shooting pain down the leg,” “can’t turn my neck,” “threw my back out.”
- -If they mention an auto accident, pivot to “We can document your injuries and refer for imaging if needed.”
